Hello Helen,
I do recall this incident, unfortunately the landlord (which we had a long professional relationship with previous to this) had not informed us that another agent had actually rented the property, he had led my colleague on by delaying in giving the keys over to him.
Apologies for the inconvenience that we had caused, it had also caused our company a lot of stress as we do not like to let people down and we also lost out on closing a deal and we no longer let these properties in ...
