A joke from the start. We should have realized when signing the contracts.
We had to travel to Bingley to sign the tenancy contracts (despite this being 8 miles away from the property) we signed the contracts and headed of home awaiting our move in date. To only get a call an hour later asking us to return due to them forgetting to ask me to sign the last page!! 32 mile round journey.
When we finally got into the apartment we could see quite a few issues that we were promised would be resolved before the move in date, but hadn't be. It took in excess of 2 months and multiple chasing to get this resolved. It quickly became an apartment of horrors with everything going wrong - I know this wasn't the letting agents fault but their response and approach was - the main outside door was warped and no longer shut. This was a couple of weeks before Christmas, we needed an emergency lock smith to come and resolve the issue so that we could leave the house and are belongings such as Christmas presents remain safe and secure. But they told us we'd need to wait for the landlord to approve the repair and this could take a couple of days (knowing past experience it was more likely to take a couple of weeks). The biggest issue of all was the blatant MOLD and rising damp issue. In the 12 months of living there this was not resolved. We had to dispose of so many belongings that had been infested with the black mold. This issue was never resolved, we were never offered any help or compensation.
We were actually blamed. For not using the poor excuse of an extraction fan 24/7 and keeping all of our windows and doors open.
What they didn't notice was our £200 pm electric bill for the constant use of heaters and dehumidifier to try and remove the damp.

No remorse. No help. No Care. No Respect.

They even disgustingly charged an additional £30 on top of the 'check out fee' coming from our bond for some residue being in the freezer door seal, which could have been wiped off with a piece of tissue but they chose to get a PROFESSIONAL cleaner out at £30.00.

I would avoid using them at all lengths if you like to be treated like a respected human
Comment on agent fees
BAD, if you want to extend your tenancy by 6 months, there is a £60 admin charge, upon check out there will be a £30.00 check out fee. And monthly rent will not be refunded for any issues.
