Used this company to view a property - asked to return for a second viewing with the ability to make an offer for the asking price and was "told" that this could not be done - Another offer had been accepted. Was advised that no further offer would be considered in a "dismissive and blunt manner" - when it was suggested that a visit to the property would be made to advise the vendor - was told "that i do not care what you do" - astonished to be treated in this way - I thought that it was the agents responsibility to put to a vendor all offers - not to block them - I wonder if vendors are aware that they could receive more - potentially better offers for their property but are not getting them? Really bad experience

Firstly, I would like to point out that we have no record of a ‘Bob Chapman’ however, I can only assume this is Shay-Maria Preston’s partner.

In response to your review I can confirm that your account of what has happened is neither genuine nor correct. I am really disappointed, although not surprised, that you have felt the need to leave this.

The correct account is as follows:

You viewed a property marketed by HIZZY & upon me asking for feedback you asked if the vendor was ‘stuck’ on that price OR would they accept an offer? I replied that I didn’t know for sure however, baring in mind the property had only just come to market I thought they would likely want close to the asking price. You also asked if there was any offer on the property & I confirmed that there wasn’t.

You then requested to view 2 other properties through us & appointments were arranged for the same day.

At one of the properties the viewing was conducted by myself & you commented on how your dealings with HIZZY PROPERTY had been better than with other agents. As this viewing was coming to a conclusion you said that you would like to 2nd view the original property. At that point I made you aware that we had now received an offer on said property that the vendor was seriously considering. I did say I would ask if they would accept a 2nd viewing from you. You went on to ask me, more than once but phrased differently, what the offer amount was, which as you know I am not allowed to divulge. I confirmed I would update you the following morning.

I asked my client if she would accept your 2nd viewing & they declined as they want to accept the offer they had received.

This morning I tried to call you however, the call wouldn’t connect so I sent you a text message asking for you to call the office at a convenient time to yourself. When you called back & after we discussed feedback from the 2 other viewings, I confirmed to you that our client had declined a 2nd viewing from you & wanted to accept the offer they had received. You went on to say that it was really strange that they wouldn’t accept the viewing & asked me if my client knew that following your second viewing you would offer the asking price? I confirmed that my client didn’t know that you would offer the asking price following a second viewing as you hadn’t mentioned this previously so offered to make my client aware of this – I did not at any time ‘block’ you from offering as you never actually asked to make an offer. You then said that your partner was going to visit the property & speak to my client directly. Your final comment was that you felt I hadn’t helped you.

It is normal practice for viewings to stop on a property once an offer is accepted. I can’t imagine you would be happy for viewings to continue on a property where you have had an offer accepted. Had you actually made an offer I would have forwarded this to my client as I am duty bound by law to do so however, you didn’t make an offer.

Following the telephone call I update my client regarding your comments & that you had said you would visit the property - I felt I had a duty of care to my client - They asked me to email you & politely ask for neither you or your partner to go to the property, which I did.

I subsequently received an email from you stating that HIZZY PROPERTY don’t want to achieve the best price for our clients (baring in mind you have no idea what price we have achieved) & that you have been totally unsatisfied with our service.

I have acted in a polite & professional way with you, as I do with all the people I come into contact with. At HIZZY PROPERTY we work in the best interests of our clients & I have no doubt in my mind that this is the case here.
